Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has banned his mom from attending any of the festivals he's playing.
He tells "The Sun" he just can't be as "naughty" as he might like when he knows his mother is somewhere in the crowd.
That's apparently what happened earlier this year when the Arctic Monkeys headlined Glastonbury and Penny Turner attended the festival to celebrate her birthday. Alex is quick to add that he absolutely loves his mom, but says they've reached an agreement to try not to mix the festivals he's playing and the ones she wants to see.
Alex and his Arctic Monkeys bandmates are set to kick off a North American tour this weekend behind their just-released album AM. The trek starts Sunday in Toronto. Along the way they'll play a handful of festivals, including both weekends of Austin City Limits in October.
