Keith Richards Quit Smoking. Is The World Coming To An End?

The Second Annual LOVE ROCKS NYC! A Benefit Concert for God's Love We Deliver - Inside

The Rolling Stones announced today that they were returning to the U.S. to continue the "No Filter Tour" this spring. Unfortunately, the closest they'll be getting to Boston is a Buffalo show June 6th.

Then Keith Richards unleashed this bombshell. He quit smoking! I think Keef was born with a cigarette in his mouth. "I've given up smoking...since October," Richards said. "Done that, been there (laughs)." It must have been tough for this Pirate of the Caribbean, last year he said that kicking nicotine was harder than kicking heroin.

So now Keith doesn't smoke and he's cut back on booze to the point that he just has an occasional glass of Pinot Grigio. Is this another sign that the apocalypse is upon us?

In case you want to make a road trip, The Rolling Stones play June 6th at New Era Field in Buffalo, NY. Tickets go on sale Friday February 14th at 10:00 am. American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public, beginning Wednesday, February 12, at 10 a.m. local time through Thursday, February 13, at 10 p.m. local time. For more information about tickets, head over to rollingstones.com.
