The Bruins Want To Play Their Home Games At Fenway Park!

Via masslive.com. What a great idea! Since we can't sit inside together to watch the Boston Bruins at TD Garden, what about sitting outside at Fenway Park in a socially distanced way?

The Bruins, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, and the Pittsburgh Penguins are looking into the possibility of playing their entire 2020-21 season in outdoor venues. That is, if the league, and for the Bruins, Governor Charlie Baker, allow them to have fans in the stands during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Bruins issued a statement confirming the proposal, "“We are in consistent contact with the NHL as well as officials from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the City of Boston, and are exploring all possible venue options for the upcoming season - including Fenway Park. At this point we are in the exploratory phase.”

If they get the green light, everybody wins. The players get to play in front of a real crowd, the businesses around Fenway can make some much needed money, and the games will look so much better on TV with people there cheering, instead of screens of fan faces on a Zoom wall. Let's do it!
