Watch: Mandalorian Co-Star Bill Burr Defends Carano From Cancel Culture

If you're a fan of Star Wars you were probably disappointed to learn Disney has fired Gina Carano, one of the stars of the Mandalorian.

But now fellow co-star and edgy comedian Bill Burr is coming to her defense.

The Post Millennial reports:

On his podcast "All Things Comedy," Bill Burr defended his former co-star on The Mandalorian, Gina Carano, while slamming ‘cancel culture’ that led to her firing by Disney over her social media posts. The comedian plays Mayfeld on the Disney+ show.
Carano was fired after she posted an image on Instagram of a Jewish woman during the holocaust and compared the hatred against conservatives with the hatred the Nazis had against the Jews in Germany. "I'm on that f***ing show. Now I gotta watch what the f*** I say," said Burr.
Burr’s guest Joe DeRosa said that the faux outrage against Carano was so intense that Disney even cancelled the action figure of her character. "They canceled her action figure," DeRosa said. "That's how deep cancel culture is. They canceled her action figure. It's like, let the action figure come out!"
All Things comedy co-host Bert Kreischer asked Burr if Carano had ever spoken of her conservative principles to him while working on the show. "No! She was an absolute sweetheart," answered Burr. "Super-nice f***ing person and, you know, whatever! And somehow someone will take this video and they'll f***ing make me say something else, and you know, try to get rid of my bald action figure!"
